Dreams deferred aren’t dreams denied—just dreams refined

I postponed my dreams and vision of a career in music and thought my season had passed long ago. I had my firstborn, worked and still graduated (Bowie State University–HBCU), got married and had two more children all while struggling entering the job market after graduating early in the recession. But after all this time, the rhymes never left; just waited for the right season.

While I was building a life tho, the culture I loved was decaying. Hip Hop stopped being a mirror for the world and started being a loop of the same hollow themes: sex, drugs, lies, and senseless gun violence. While the world was burning, the industry was playing with the matches.

That’s why NUQETOWN exists

I am MATTIQULUS, the precise lyricist whose writing skills are now sharper than ever. I am also NICHE NUQEM, the nemesis to the status quo. I’m not here to join the game; I’m here to reboot it. I’m dropping a lifetime of real-world struggle, fatherhood, and hard-earned wisdom like an atomic bomb on a landscape that’s grown too comfortable with commercialism and mediocrity.

Essentially, We’ve Lost The Plot. Now is the time to DESTROY the noise and REBUILD the culture. Help us reclaim what’s rightfully ours!
